Welcome to the Orientation Office

Welcome to the beginning of your transition to Madison! We are delighted to be a part of your journey, and your collegiate experience. Whether this is your first college experience, or you are joining the Madison community having already had some college, we are here to partner with you and help you get off on the right foot.

Our goals are simple. Through participating in our Orientation programs, we will help you become academically and socially acclimated to the JMU campus community. Our one-day orientation program and fall August Orientation programs will help you begin developing peer relationships with members of your cohort, our orientation student leaders, academic advisors, and campus administrators.

This website is designed to walk you through important steps and provide you with essential information you need to make the transition. There’s a lot of information, but it’s all important and necessary.
