Students should share their personal Access Plan (prepared by the Office of Disability Services) with their professor(s) and discuss how best to obtain the material.
Students will receive an email from the ODS seeking information about the specific classes for which such assistance is needed.
The ODS will solicit the assistance of the faculty member in securing a Volunteer Note Taker for each class specified. Faculty will be asked to make an announcement about the need for a volunteer, pass around a sign-up sheet and keep the name of the student in need of the notes anonymous.
Once a Volunteer Note Taker has been found, the ODS will notify both the student eligible to receive the notes and the volunteer of the Notes Exchange process.
Students are responsible for sharing their personal Access Plan with their respective faculty member(s).
Students will meet with the ODS Note Taking & Technology Assistant, sign a loan agreement for the technology and learn about the pen's features. Students are responsible for sharing their personal Access Plan (prepared by the ODS) with their faculty member(s).
