SUMMARY: Mr. Alleyn Harned and the Virginia Clean Cities secure $12,000 in additional funding from the National Fire Protection Agency

AFV Safety Training

Mr. Alleyn Harned, Executive Director of Virginia Clean Cities, obtained an additional $12,000 from the National Fire Protection Agency to further their efforts on the project entitled “Nationwide AFV Responder, Recovery & Investigation Safety Training.” During the first phase of the project, Virginia Clean Cities encountered some obstacles in coordinating venues, dates, and partners for Alternative Fuel Vehicles Safety Training events. This additional funding will allow Virginia Clean Cities to spearhead outreach efforts and coordination of training events to ensure successful future training sessions. Their efforts are paying off, with a recent training session hosting 100 attendees!

Hats off to Mr. Harned and Virginia Clean Cities!
