ENACTUS members have participated in two projects this fall. Students helped with registration and coordination of a 5K fun run at Massanhutten on Oct. 17 that benefited nonprofit organization Give Kids the World. This year ENACTUS helped increase participation to approximately 100 runners and walkers, raising more than $1,000. An ongoing project involves ENACTUS members raising awareness about the Harrisonburg Mercy House Building Supply Store. The store sells a wide range of donated building supplies, with sales benefiting the Mercy House homeless shelter. Students contact local businesses to inform them of the benefits of donating to and buying supplies from the Mercy House.
