Schug and Wood Featured in Richmond Times-Dispatch


Bill WoodDirector of the Center for Economic Education Dr. William C. Wood and Mark C. Schug from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee have written an op-ed piece that was published in the Sept. 13 Richmond Times-Dispatch. In this article, Wood and Schug urge parents to advocate for personal finance classes in their schools. The authors also discuss the importance of saving money early on in life. 

As part of this effort to spread financial literacy in the schools, the Center for Economic Education recently offered an Economics Institute and a Personal Finance Institute so that high school teachers could be better equipped to teach their students about personal finance.
