JMU Chemistry participates in science outreach


Student volunteers led by Dr. Iona Black participated in two science outreach events over the past several weeks: the Expanding Your Horizons Conference and the You Be the Chemist Challenge.

Expanding Your Horizons

EYH is a one-day science and math conference for girls in grades 6-9. The students participate in workshops, see demos and meet JMU science and math students.

You Be the Chemist

The YBC Challenge is a science competition for students in grades 5-8. Winners at the local level are invited to compete at nationals.
