WELCOME to the JMU Parade of Champions!

On behalf of James Madison University and the JMU Marching Royal Dukes, we welcome you to the 36^th Annual JMU Parade of Champions this fall. As we look forward to another fantastic celebration of music education and the marching arts, with outstanding bands and nationally-recognized adjudicators, we hope the information on this site will help you prepare for your visit to JMU on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

After an exciting event last year in our newly renovated Bridgeforth Stadium with a record-setting number of bands and spectators in attendance, we look forward to another great contest in October. Our new facility certainly makes the JMU Parade of Champions one of the most exciting events around. The new stadium boasts a seating capacity of almost 25,000 and includes 2 decks (perfect for viewing the performances), a state-of-the-art video board, club lounge and suites, a new press box and media complex, as well as an impressive new concessions area. When we combine these facilities with an incredible line-up of bands from the Mid-Atlantic, it can offer an exciting weekend for everybody involved!
