Each semester we have many students, staff and faculty who help to make our program a possibility and we would love to have you join the team! Become a volunteer or a peer educator with us to lend a hand in our student space, at tabling or during events and programming.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Nancy Haugh.

If you are interested in being a peer educator, please contact Gracie Wheeles.

Volunteers are responsible for:

  • Completing a minimum of 2 hours of volunteering a week
  • Attending 3 out of 5 Professional Development programs hosted by the Volunteer coordinator each semester
  • Remaining professional during all Program events

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Work with a dynamic team of students to spread awareness of the LGBTQ+ community on JMU's campus
  • Assist with tabling events on specific topics pertaining to the LGBTQ+ community

Peer Educator Outreach Description:
