2007 Lavender
Graduation
The first annual JMU Lavender Graduation was
held on April 29, 2007 in Taylor Hall. This ceremony honored
the graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students of
JMU for the gifts they brought to the campus.

Davis
Debra Davis, a nationally recognized expert regarding gender
issues, came to speak at James Madison
University January 22 and 23, 2008. She shared her personal story about her gender transition and
experiences living life as a transgender person.
