Safe Zone JMU is a program through which faculty, staff, and students at the university are educated and informed about educational and other issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals. It furthermore provides a support network for LGBT students, faculty, and staff.
Madison Equality is JMU's student organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students. The primary mission of the organization is the promotion of tolerance and acceptance through education and awareness.
