Annual Programs:

Lavender Graduation: Lavender Graduation is a ceremony held at the end of the academic year, to recognize graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students. It is a way to acknowledge the achievements made throughout these students' college careers. The Lavender Graduation Ceremony affirms the personhood of LGBT students by celebrating their academic successes as well as honoring their personal journey and growth. Through the support provided by programs such as Lavender Graduation, a ripple effect is created and these students are enabled to provide guidance to others in the LGBT community.

Too Fabulous: A semi-formal evening celebration and fundraiser for JMU's LGBT & Ally Education Program.

Annual Awards:

LGBT & Ally Education Awards are presented to individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the LGBT community during the past year. Their actions contributed to the creation or improvement of an inclusive, respectful and safe climate for the LGBT community.

The Christopher L. Gatesman Service Award is given in recognition of outstanding dedication and support of James Madison University's LGBT & Ally Education Program.
