“Girls on Track” Complete a Successful Season
By Allison Knighton, Physical Education/Health Instructor

Girls on Track successfully finished their first season at Jefferson! Girls on Track is an all-girls program that focuses on building self-respect and leadership skills while preparing to run a 5k.

A total of 14 sixth and seventh grade girls participated, with Allison Knighton and Ashley Ray as their coaches.

To complete the season, the team ran in the Reindeer Romp 5k at Reston Town Center on the cold morning of December 4th.

We are so proud of the young ladies that completed the season, motivating and encouraging each other all the way through!
