"Surviving the Peace," a film shot in Laos that follows staff of the international Mine Advisory Group as they attempt to rid the country of landmines and unexploded ordinance, will be shown 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 4 in Miller Hall, Room 1101. The MAG was formed in 1997 and works in more than 35 countries around the world. Executive Director of MAG America and JMU alumna Jennifer Lachman will hold a question and answer session after the film.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the fourth annual Post-Conflict Recovery Week held by the Center for International Stabilization and Recovery at JMU. The center schedules programs to increase awareness in the Harrisonburg and JMU communities of the global landmine problem, post-conflict related issues and what the center does.
