SENIOR HONORS PROJECT 

Getting Started

• Attend an information meeting at the beginning of any semester.  (see Honors calendar for exact dates)

• Review your department's project guidelines and contact your department's Honors liaison early in your junior year for specific information on how and when to begin your project.

• Three semesters prior to graduation, contact the office of your major to enroll in the first 499 course and select your project committee.  (see table below for date)  Register for the remaining 499 courses each semester through the office of your major.
  
  **NOTE**  Your final transcript and diploma will only show Distinction in ONE major OR minor (no concentrations) .  Therefore if you have more than one major or minor, you should enroll in the 499 series that best represents the topic of your project and/or the area of study in which you wish to receive recognition.

• Submit a Senior Honors Project Application AND a project proposal at the end of the first 499 course (see table below for exact date).  Follow departmental guidelines and instructions from your project committee and page 2 of the application to prepare your proposal.
