FUGUE

Fugue, the literary arts magazine of the Honors Program, will be having an interest meeting next Monday, September 8th, at 7:30 PM in the Hillcrest Basement Lounge.  Fugue is a collection of creative works from the entire JMU population, including fiction and non-fiction writing, poetry, prose, screenplays, musical composition, photography, art, illustration, ANYTHING.

We are looking for individuals to serve on our 2008-2009 staff.  Tasks include advertising to the JMU Campus in calls for submissions, evaluating and selecting submissions for the magazine, planning design and layout ideas with a graphic designer, taking the magazine to print to be published, planning a release party in the spring, and hosting a brown bag lecture in the spring.

Participating on the Fugue staff looks great on a resume, and there are plenty of different tasks and responsibilities to fit your interest or major.

MADISON HONORS CLUB

First meeting of the year for the Madison Honors Club will be held Wednesday, September 10 from 7:30 - 8:00 in Taylor 303.  All students interested in finding out more about the club should attend this meeting.  If you are unable to attend but want more information, please send an e-mail to mhc.jmu@gmail.com.  See CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS on our website for additional information.
