Student-led, the organization provides service to the Honors Program and to varied community activities such as Habitat for Humanity, Keister Elementary School, Boys and Girls Club, Roberta Webb Day Care, Mercy House and Sunnyside Retirement Community. JMU honors students provide leadership for the organization through the Student Steering Council; activities are open to all members of the university community.

Honors Student Advisory Council (HSAC)
The Student Advisory Council is composed of about eight honors students who discuss ideas for advancing the success of the Honors Program community. Members will organize social events for the Honors student community, represent the Honors Program during admissions recruiting events, and offer recommendations and suggestions to the Honors Program directors and the Honors Program Committee concerning the policies, regulations, curriculum and activities of the Honors Program. Students apply for membership on the council at the beginning of the school term. Members serve one-year terms and may be re-elected.

Fugue
Fugue, a journal of the arts, is edited and published by the Honors Program. A staff of honors students solicits contributions from all members of the undergraduate community, selects the material and prepares it for publication, designs the layout and sees the journal through printing and distribution. Honors students are invited to apply for staff positions each fall.
