Dr. Dave Pruett, Professor of Mathematics, was the first recipient of the Mengebier Endowed Professorship and also earned the 2004 Distinguished Teaching Award, the 2008 Madison Scholar award from the College of Science and Mathematics, and the 2008 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Honors Teaching. He joined the JMU faculty in 1996 after nearly a decade of aerospace-related experience at NASA Langley Research Center.
