There will be no Update for the next 2 weeks.  You will receive your next Update on November 27.  Dr. Shanahan and I will be attending the National Collegiate Honors Council conference in Philadelphianext week.

HON 181E, taught by Dr. Bethany Jones, counts for Cluster One Critical Thinking credit.  There are still several openings in our two sections.  Try one!

 

HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN A RESEARCH & INFORMATION COURSE?

HON 300H, one section taught by Ms. Elizabeth Haworth and one section taught by Ms. Katherine Clarke, are invaluable courses to take prior to or during your work on your senior project.  This course is encouraged for all students, not just juniors.

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, the largest, full-time internship program in Washington, D.C. announces a new program for summer 2007: Washington, D.C. London Internship Program.  The program provides students with an extraordinary academic experience combining the best of study abroad and an internship. Designed as a ten-day seminar in the nation's capital followed by an eight-week internship placement with programming and academic study in the capital of the United Kingdom.  Participation will be limited. Competitive application deadline for summer term: February 2, 2007. Students normally eligible for The Washington Center's ACHS ($1,000) and NCHC ($2,000) scholarships are also eligible to compete to apply the scholarships to this program as well.
