Please review all options carefully.

The JMU Health Center offers the Women's Health Clinic to all registered students. Any female student wishing to obtain an annual exam or a prescription method of birth control from our Health Center must complete one of the following options:

If You Are......

 Your Options .....

A woman NOT currently on any contraception at this time and have never had a gynecological exam but would like to consider options....   A)  You can complete this *ONLINE info session.

  B)  Attend the WHC Educational Session: TUESDAYS, 7 PM, Blue Ridge Hall 333. No sign up necessary, attend ONE session only.

  C)  You can call for an in person one on one appointment with the Women's Health Peer Educator, 540-568-1725.

 

A women interested in a gynecological exam, including  a pap smear with no contraception at this time........
A woman with a current pap smear* and would like to begin a prescription method of contraception........
A women with a current contraception prescription from an outside provider but would like to utilize the Women's Health Clinic at the JMU Health Center.....   A)  You can complete this *ONLINE  info session.

  B)  You can call for an in person one on one appointment with the Women's Health Peer Educator, 540-568-1725.

 

A women with a current prescription for Oral Contraceptive Pills or Depo Provera from JMU Health Center.......   Please view this site for information; you are already in the University Health Center database. *UHC WHC (Formerly called CHOICES)
A women currently on Depo Provera from another provider and needs to have the next 12 week injection.....   Please contact the Allergy/Immunization clinic for an appointment or questions, 540-568-2978.

*Results of your current pap smear from the last year must be on file at the University Health Center, Office of Health Information prior to your appointment. A Health Information Release Form is available.
