Internship Opportunities - Chik-fil-A (Harrisonburg, VA)

We have developed two different roles in our Harrisonburg store; one is titled Marketing Intern and the other is Business Development Intern. While the Marketing Intern is somewhat self-explanatory (see the attached document for a more detailed position description), the Business Development intern will be working closely with our leaders and learning what it looks like to run a Chick-fil-A restaurant behind the scenes (see the attached document for more details).

JMU Alumni Association Volunteer Opportunities

The James Madison University Alumni Association is looking for a qualified candidates for a 400 hour internship and a 600 hour internship.

The interns in both positions will assist with planning and implementing a variety of events, including large scale and small scale events, as well as those with students and alumni. This internship allows the opportunity to gain experience working with vendors on and off-campus, as well as other volunteers.

Post-Conflict Recovery Week Event Planning Internship (Unpaid)

**This position runs through fall 2017 and spring 2018 semesters and DOES NOT meet the criteria for the HM 402 internship. However, this position is a great resume builder!**

JMU’s Center for International Stabilization and Recovery (CISR) is seeking interns to assist with CISR’s annual Post-Conflict Recovery Week (PCRW), which will be held April 2-6, 2018. The theme of this year’s PCRW is “Being the Change,” presenting CISR/JMU alum who are currently working in the humanitarian and post-conflict field. Current JMU alum speakers include staff at the State Department, Peace Corps, and the Marshall Legacy Institute (Mine Detection Dogs). In addition, we will be hosting a “Mutts and Mines” event with MLI and local Harrisonburg businesses as well as an art exhibition, which will be featured at Clementine’s as part of Harrisonburg’s First Friday’s downtown. Previous PCRW posters are attached to provide an overview of past events.

Horton Vineyards is hiring! The position of Wine Educator does not require previous experience, as all wine knowledge is trainable. You do have to be 21+. If any student is looking to get into the wine industry, this is a fantastic place to start.
