The Hospitality Management program is in the School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management at James Madison University.  The hospitality program at JMU has been in existence since 1974.  Up until June, 2010, the program was housed in the College of Business and our students earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.  In June 2012, the program was renamed as Hospitality Management (now earning a Bachelor of Science degree) and merged with Sport and Recreation Management to form the School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management.  Today, our students take 16 courses (48 credit hours) of Hospitality related courses.  We feel as if the new program better prepares our students for the fast and ever changing industry by providing courses in Human Resources, Event Management, Ethical Decision -Making, Cost Control, Culinary Arts, and Leadership, to name just a few.  In addition, our students earn a business minor from the nationally acclaimed College of Business.

We look forward to working with you in the coming years as we build a program of distinction.
