Minor in Geographic Science

The JMU Geographic Science minor is designed for students who wish to broaden their current major with a program empowers students to address problems associated with the spatial patterns and processes of human and environmental change. 

The minor consists of the following courses for a total of not less than 19 credit hours.

  • GEOG 210 Physical Geography - 4 credits

  • GEOG 215 Geospatial Tools I - 3 credits

  • GEOG 280 Cultural Geography - 3 credits

  • Three additional geographic science courses - 9-12 credits
