Non-Tenure Track Faculty Interest Group

Non-tenure track (NTT) faculty positions are increasing in number and roles across institutions of higher education, including JMU. Despite our increasing influence, many non-tenure track faculty lack opportunities to discuss the responsibilities and challenges they face and strategies they employ to find success and satisfaction in their roles.
This faculty community will provide a structured but welcoming space for non-tenure track faculty to meet regularly, network across departments/colleges, and discuss topics that participants deem important.
Please come share your thoughts, concerns, and experiences on the NTT!
Program Dates: 10/12 and 11/9
Time: 1:30-2:30pm
Location: Online (the Zoom link will be provided the day before the event)

Program Outcomes
- Identifying effective strategies for career advancement in a non-tenure track position
- Developing relationships with non-tenure track faculty across campus
- Enhancing and advocating NTT faculty equity

Our programs are intended for JMU faculty or staff only! If you are a student or administrator and would like to attend, please email cfi@jmu.edu with your request.
CREATE ACCOUNT/LOG IN: The registration link (below) will direct you to the CFI Program Registration site (this is a new process from last year - JMU DUO isn't required). If this is your first time visiting the registration page this semester, you will need to create a new account using your JMU email (@jmu.edu). Be sure to clear your browser cache/cookies upon each visit to the registration page.
REGISTRATION: After completing the mandatory forms and creating your account, click on "Add to Cart" from the bullet list under Registration on the Dashboard. Anything already added to your cart appears under "MY CART."
- Filter by date or category.
- Select the program and specific date you would like to attend.
- Click the Register button below for additional details.
Cancellations
If you find that you are unable to attend a scheduled event prior to the registration deadline, please return to your account and cancel your registration. If it is after the event registration deadline, please email cfi@jmu.edu as early as possible.
CFI programs will be canceled automatically if JMU is closed for inclement weather.
