Computer Information

The Department of Engineering requires that each student have a laptop computer.  Laptops can be purchased at the JMU Bookstore.  We also will require specific software packages that will also be made available to you through the bookstore when you purchase your texts for the semester.  When clicking on the computer specifications link below, please note, the Department of Engineering is listed under the College of Integrated Science and Technology.

Microsoft Development Network (MSDN) Academic Alliance Site
Students enrolled in Department of Engineering classes are eligible to download select Microsoft software, including Windows 7, free of charge at our JMU MSDN Site:
