BACKGROUND OF MBA PROGRAMS
The College of Business offers three distinct MBA concentrations, the Innovation MBA, the Information Security MBA and the new Executive Leadership MBA.
Each focuses on a critical component of sustainable firm success in today's complex and dynamic business environment, while also covering the required core material of an MBA program. All three concentrations are accredited by AACSB and use a 'blended' format of instruction. Also, on May 12, 2015, James Madison University was ranked No. 11 on The Princeton Review's Top 25 Online MBA Programs list for 2015.
The theme for the Innovation MBA Program is "Leading through Innovation with Technology and People." The Information Security MBA was ranked twelfth for Online MBA Programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report and third in terms of student engagement.
The purpose of the Information Security concentration is to create a new manager with a strong understanding of business fundamentals, who also understands the business implications of information security.
The Executive Leadership concentration's theme is leading through change.
