VAHPERD Scholarships Awarded to JMU Students
Congratulations to James Madison University students, Melissa Funaro and Lindsey Ervin, on being selected for the 2006 Virginia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance Scholarships. The two prestigious scholarships were open to all Virginia colleges and universities who offer a degree in Kinesiology. Despite the steep competition for this scholarship, both awards went to JMU students. Melissa was awarded the VAHPERD Graduate Scholarship and Lindsey was chosen for the VAPHERD Mays (Undergraduate) Scholarship. Both will be honored at the Southern District/Virginia AHPERD Awards Convention on March 1-6 in Virginia Beach, VA.
