Psychology's Jack Presbury Wins Publication Award

PHOTO: Jack PresburyPsychology's Jack Presbury has received a Publication Award from the Association of Counselor Educators and Supervisors (ACES), which is a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA). Each year, a counselor educator from somewhere in the United States is given this award as recognition of his or her efforts in the area of publication. Jack Presbury has published books, book chapters, articles, and has given presentations at state, regional and national conferences.

When asked about his award, Presbury said, "What you must know is that I did not deserve this award alone. I always collaborate with other faculty members at JMU on my publications and presentations. Others who should be named are: Dr. Lennie Echterling, Dr. Ed McKee, Dr. Joe Marchal, Dr. Eric Cowan, Dr. Renee Staton, Dr. Bill Evans, and your dean: Dr. Jerry Benson. These are all people with whom I have published. I consider this an honor for our entire Counseling Psychology program here at JMU. It is clearly one of the best of its kind in the country."
