Three JMU Faculty Members to be Spotlighted at the 14th Annual APS-STP Teaching Institute

Mark your calendars! May 23-24, three JMU Faculty members and one future faculty member will be spotlighted at the 14th Annual APS-STP Teaching Institute in Washington, D.C. Held before the APS 19th Annual Convention, the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) will be offering several informative programs including presentations by JMU faculty as well as others in the discipline. JMU Psychology professor and Assistant Department Head, Suzanne C. Baker, will discuss “'Why do we Need to Know This?' Nonhuman Behavior and Psychology” and Tracy E. Zinn, Assistant Psychology Professor, will give a talk entitled “Students as Customers: Are we Selling Their Wares?” Also, make sure to come out and see future JMU faculty member Jessica G. Irons and William Buskist from Auburn University as they lead the workshop, “Reflectively Evaluating and Developing Your Teaching Skills.”
