Arts and Letters Diversity

The College of Arts and Letters strives to develop and maintain an organizational culture and structure that fosters inclusion and affirmation of diversity. Its understanding of diversity and inclusion is guided by the objective to provide equal employment and educational opportunities for all persons without regard to age, color, disability, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, parental status, political affiliation, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, or first-generation college student status.

Networking Resources

The CAL diversity council has compiled a list of programs, organizations, and groups that provide opportunities for members of the JMU community to network. We hope that the list provides JMU faculty and staff, job applicants, as well as search committees and university leaders with information that can help build connections among members of the JMU community. You can download the list at this link. The list is incomplete - if you know of networking opportunities that you would like to add, please contact the current Chair of the CAL Diversity Council.
