ALCOHOL AND WOMEN

This program discusses how the use of alcohol and other drugs affects the ability to think clearly and make good judgments, which seems to leave women especially vulnerable in sexual situations.

 

 

ATHLETES AND HEROES: THE IMPACT OF ATHLETES IN OUR SOCIETY

This program offers participants the opportunity to learn about myths regarding sexual assault and how these myths impact male athletes.  It also provides participants with tools and techniques to make healthy choices.

 

 

BOUNDARIES: HOW THEY CAN BE VIOLATED

This program offers tools to connect issues relating to setting boundaries and avoiding burnout.  Participants will explore the relationship between self-esteem and the ability to set boundaries.

 

 

BURNED OUT AND BURNED UP: TIPS FOR STAYING COOL WHEN THINGS GET HOT

This program offers participants tools and techniques to recognize symptoms of stress and how to create a healthy lifestyle by reducing stress factors.

 

 

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

This program allows participants to see conflict as a human influencing option that is neither positive nor negative until we direct the energy patterns that are generated from conflict.

 

 

DON'T FORGET THEM: MALE SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

This program offers participants tools for outreach and the importance of awareness regarding the male victim.

 

 

GENDER ISSUES: HOW SOCIETY IMPACTS MEN AND WOMEN

This program teaches the history of gender roles, differences in styles, and understanding relationships.  It allows participants to realize differences can be positive.

 

 

MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL

This program identifies myths associated with eating disorders, factors affecting body image, and behaviors exhibited with various eating disorders.

 

 

PORTRAYAL: WOMEN IN THE MEDIA

This program will give participants the potential to further develop a sense of self and how that awareness of self relates to leadership.  A greater understanding of how the media influences the building of one's individuality will be discussed.

 

 

RELATIONSHIPS 101

This program introduces participants to resources on campus, facts about rape and other dating violence, mixing alcohol and other drugs with sex, and how to have fun and stay safe during college.

 

 

SENSITIVE RESPONSE

This program helps participants to understand the importance of resources and referrals, as well as defining various responses to sexual assault.  Participants will become aware of cultural differences and individuality of survivors of sexual assault.

 

 

SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION

This program introduces participants to definitions, reporting, statistics, and how to prevent sexual victimization.

 

 

SEXUAL HARASSMENT

This program introduces the participants to legal terms, popular misconceptions, and tactics to avoid being the harasser or the victim.

 

 

SHATTERING MYTHS

This program is designed to raise awareness about myths associated with sexual assault.

 

 

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

This program gives participants an overview of the history of violence against women, examples of violence perpetuated against women, and solutions to ending the abuse of women.
