Folsom point fragment found

In 2005, JMU field school students found a fragment of a Folsom point on the surface of a late prehistoric site in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Shallow excavations at the find spot failed to reveal additional Paleoamerican artifacts, but some characteristics of the point fragment suggest it was deposited close to the location of manufacture.
