In order to receive your materials in a timely and equitable manner, email firstname.lastname@example.org your course syllabi.
You will receive an order confirmation email to your JMU email address from Alt-Text staff within three business days of submission. The email will inform you of the status of your request.
Due to the limited availability of some books it may be necessary for us to utilize the cut and scan process to create your materials. This process requires further action on the student’s part and is outlined here.
Be proactive and contact your professor before the beginning of the semester to obtain textbook information. The earlier you submit your order request, the quicker your order can be processed before initial readings are due.
Submit your syllabus along with the Alternative Text order. This will ensure you will receive the materials through installments before your assignment due date.
Maintain consistent communication. Responding to Alternative Text e-mails in a timely manner will help us get you your materials faster.
Be responsible for your own book drop off and pick up when required.
