How to Report to Title IX

At JMU, students, faculty, staff, and visitors have options for how to choose to report incidents of sexual misconduct involving JMU community members to the Title IX Office. The important thing to know is that we treat all reports received with great care and discretion. Our role is to provide individuals with information about available resources, support, and options for moving forward.

Responsible Employee Reporting

JMU has designated all paid faculty, staff and student employees as Responsible Employees.  When a Responsible Employee, during the regular execution of their paid duties or while representing JMU in an official capacity, learns directly or indirectly about sexual misconduct involving a JMU community member, the employee is responsible for sharing the information with Title IX.
