Women for Madison Executive Advisory Council Meeting, October 2, 2014

The Women for Madison Executive Advisory Council met at the new Student Success Center on the campus of James Madison University for their Fall meeting.  Nick Langridge, Vice President for Advancement, and Sheila Smith, Assistant Vice President for Campaign Management, reviewed “The Madison Plan” and university investment opportunities with the council members.

A focus of the meeting was to clarify the objectives and purpose of Women for Madison to outside constituencies.  To that end, FAQ’s were reviewed and amended and a strategy and goals for the next year were set in the three working committees of:  Development, Outreach & Education, and Special Events.

Mark Warner, Senior Vice President for Student Affairs and University Planning, shared an overview of his division of the university and his perspective on leadership.

Lunch guests included Sonya Baker, the new Associate Dean for the College of Visual and Performing Arts and a student string trio – seniors, Hannah Wagner, Sarah Park and Sarah Han.
