JMU will open at 10 a.m. due to inclement weather (1/19/24)

Due to the inclement weather, James Madison University will open at 10 a.m. today, Jan. 19. 

With today’s delayed opening, classes that begin after 10 a.m. will meet. 

No classes, including those that meet online, may be held while the university is closed.  

If your class was scheduled before 10 a.m. today and did not meet due to the delay, faculty have several options for making up the missed instruction time. Students should check with their professors for any clarification as individual instructors will determine the option for making up class time. More information is available on the Academic Affairs website.

The official makeup day for today’s delay will be Feb. 3. 

Employees should contact their immediate supervisor for questions surrounding operations under these inclement weather conditions.
