James Madison University to conduct test of emergency systems

Harrisonburg, Virginia — JMU will conduct a test of the emergency notification systems on Wednesday, March 1 at 1:45 p.m. At that time, the on-campus outdoor siren and PA systems will be tested with a siren and audible broadcast message. Also, an email will be sent to all students, faculty, staff and affiliates, and a text message/voice message will be sent to the cell phones of all individuals who have enrolled for emergency notification through MyMadison. In order to enhance the emergency notification process to as many people as possible, JMU will be sending desktop notifications as part of the test.
