Vaccination Update – Governor Announces Vaccine Availability

News

Faculty, Staff and Graduate Assistants:

Our local Central Shenandoah Health District is anticipating an increase of the COVID-19 vaccine availability in the coming weeks.

The remainder of our faculty and staff are all now eligible to receive the vaccine.

If you have not already done so, it is more important than ever for you to pre-register for a vaccine as soon as possible.

Click this link to pre-register for the first time or to confirm/update an earlier pre-registration:

OR you may call:
(877) VAX-IN-VA
(877) 829-4682

Pre-registration states that you are eligible for the vaccine. An appointment will still be required to receive the vaccine. You will be contacted with a link or phone call when it is your time to make an appointment. Please monitor your email closely for this important follow-up information.

(IMPORTANTE: Descubra cómo vacunarse visitando https://Vaccinate.Virginia.gov/ o llamando al 1-877-829-4682. Servicios de traducción y teléfonos de texto (TTY) disponibles.)

Employees are not required to take the vaccine. Choosing to be vaccinated is your personal and voluntary choice.

Once you have been completely vaccinated, you are encouraged to voluntarily provide this information through MyJMUChart. This will allow JMU to inform various stakeholders of JMU’s rate of COVID-19 vaccinations received by members of the JMU community.
