JMU's Children's Playshop Presents 'The Wind in the Willows'

HARRISONBURG - The James Madison University Children's Playshop season opens Thursday, May 22, with the literary favorite "The Wind in the Willows," dramatized by R. Eugene Jackson. 

The play follows Toad as he evolves from a wealthy but lazy and reckless lover of speedy sports cars to one who vows to save his family home and his name in the process. Assisted by the loveable characters Badger, Water Rat and Mole, Toad rescues his home from a band of wily weasels and reinstates himself in Toad Hall. 

DATES: May 22-June 1 

TIMES: Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Sundays at 3:30 p.m. 

LOCATION: Theatre II, JMU
 

"The Wind in the Willows" is directed by William Buck, the director of the School of Theatre and Dance at JMU. A host of talented young actors round out the cast, many of whom have trod the Playhouse boards before: Trevor Wilhelms as Toad, Brittanny Austen Krause as Badger, Zack Moody as Mole, Ali Hoxie as Rat, Emily Lodsun as Chief Weasel, Kelly Anglim as Sergeant Weasel, Kristin Siegert as Greasel/Cecil/Sneezel, Christie Steele as Sheriff, Robby Bassler as Deputy Jimmy Ray and Therese Mayer as Sarie/Woman Driver.
