The Academic Portfolio Institute (API) guides faculty in the creation of a professional, reflective portfolio that integrates accomplishments in teaching, research/scholarship, and service/leadership into a single document. Portfolio Institutes are four-day intensive experiences in which participating faculty are paired with trained mentors who provide one-on-one support, guidance, and feedback in drafting the portfolio and selecting evidence. The resulting document is typically 15-20 pages plus appendices. This comprehensive portfolio combines thoughtful reflection on faculty performance and effectiveness with hard evidence of accomplishments.
Disclaimer: The portfolio created in this institute will most likely be NOT suitable as a packet to be submitted for tenure and/or promotion.
