Faculty Writing Studio (Online Faculty Community)

This open faculty community will meet online on Fridays from 9am to 12pm this semester.
Many JMU faculty have found it challenging to balance their teaching responsibilities with their core responsibilities of scholarship/research/creative endeavors. During the academic year the demands of teaching and service are intense and scholarship gets placed on the backburner. Need the space and time, and accountability to advance or complete that research, writing, or creative project? Join colleagues on-line, who after a brief check-in with facilitators, will be independently working in a common online space. At the close of each session participants will check-out by sharing their short-term goals for their project. Leave with a sense of accomplishment, a clear sense of your next steps, and increased scholarly productivity.
CONSULTATIONS: A CFI consultant WILL be available during the Faculty Writing Studio program this academic year. However, scholarship consultations are also available on an ongoing basis and may be requested in advance by submitting a Scholarship Consultation request.

- Sign up for as few or as many sessions as will fit your schedule
- Email us at cfi@jmu.edu if you want to make changes to your registration.
- Recommended Weekly Deadline: Wednesday @ 12 noon to participate in the following Friday session
