OLAW Posts New FAQ on Protocol Review The Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare has posted a new frequently asked question on the agency's Web site. The FAQ addresses how an institutional animal care and use committee should act when "the animal research activities will not be conducted until year four or five of a grant." OLAW responds that, in part, "IACUC review must be performed prior to the conduct of any Public Health Service-supported animal activity. Approval is valid for a maximum of three years."
