| Endowment principal. Recipients shall be enrolled in the first graduate year in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology, and a graduate of JMU's undergraduate CSD program. No financial needs test is required. The selection committee shall be composed of three full-time faculty/staff, one of whom shall chair the committee. At least one member shall be a JMU graduate. The committee shall consider, but not be limited to, these criteria: GPA, vita, references from graduate school application packet, input from faculty. | |

| An endowed scholarship established February 26, 1988 by family and friends in memory of Robin McKay who died in South America. The Robin C. McKay Memorial Scholarship should be awarded solely to an undergraduate student in the Communication Sciences & Disorders program who is studying speech pathology. The recipient should be one who is well- rounded and academically proficient with a minimum GPA of 3.25 in his or her major coursework. The recipient must meet all University and department criteria for receipt of the scholarship. The scholarship may be renewed for each subsequent year of the student's undergraduate study provided the aforementioned requirements are met. | |

| An endowed scholarship established by Frank Will in memory of Melvin Will Jr. Because of his involvement with the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department and their applied teaching laboratory known as the JMU Speech and Hearing Center. This scholarship is for graduate student financial assistance under the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department. An award of $1,000 or more must be made on a competitive basis to an outstanding JMU student who is enrolled full time. Outstanding academic achievement will be determined by JMU. | |
