James Madison University 's Office of Technology Transfer is eager to work with inventors to help them understand our process of university technology transfer, from preparing for an eventual invention discovery through the commercialization process.  See what faculty say about their experiences and results of a spin-off company from JMU created works.

The Inventors' section offers a variety of resources for prospective and current inventors. The frequently asked question section answers many of the common questions yielded by researchers and inventors alike. It also contains guidance if you are thinking of starting a business.
