James Madison University's Office of Technology Transfer respects the rights and privileges afforded to inventors by local, state, and national laws. JMU's Intellectual Property Policy establishes guidelines for the responsibilities, rights, and privileges of JMU faculty, staff, and students involved in creating intellectual property.

The Intellectual Property Invention and Copyright Disclosure form is available in electronic format in Microsoft Word document. For your convenience, a help sheet with instructions is available if needed.

Please submit completed Disclosure forms to bourneml@jmu.edu and a signed original to The Office of Technology Transfer, 153 ISAT/CS Building, MSC 4107 JMU campus mail.
