2024 Schools of the Sun Belt Food Fight Competition

The inaugural Schools of the Sun Belt Conference Food Fight is a competition between universities in the SBC to collect donations to fight food insecurity. Through the month of February, products can be donated at select locations in exchange for points. The university with the most points at the end of the competition will be the winner. Make sure you follow @jmu_pantry for updates on the competition!

 

Point system

Donated items may be purchased wherever you buy food or hygiene products or through the Pantry's Amazon wishlist. Any deliveries may be sent to Off-Campus Life, 285 Warren Service Drive, MSC 4214, Harrisonburg, VA 22807.

  • 4 pts
    • Hygiene products including (but not limited to) shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry pods, and toothpaste
    • High-demand food items including ramen (12-count box), pasta sauce, dry pasta, canned/pouched meats, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, rice, olive oil, flour and granola bars
  • 2 pts
  • 1 pt
    • All other food items

  • Student Success Center, first floor
  • Festival Student and Conference Center, first floor
  • Festival Student and Conference Center, second floor
  • The Off Campus Life office in The Union, Taylor 205 A–H
  • Both Pantry locations (TDU and EnGeo 0302)
