Introducing e-citations

News

On Monday, March 11, JMU faculty, staff and students will begin receiving email notifications in addition to paper copies of citations when a vehicle associated with their parking account is cited for parking illegally on James Madison University owned or leased property.

In the summer of 2024, Parking and Transit Services plans to transition fully to e-citations. When this transition is implemented, illegally parked vehicles that are associated with a customer account that includes an email address will no longer receive a physical citation on the vehicle windshield when cited.

Additional communication will be sent to the university community when the transition to e-citations is fully implemented. In addition to email notification, customers may view their account status and any fines incurred via the Parking and Transit Services web portal at jmu.aimsparking.com.

Please contact Parking and Transit Services by email at parkingservices@jmu.edu or by phone at 540.568.3300 if you have any questions.
