It’s no surprise that Kimberly D.R. DuVall (’83, ’87M), lecturer of psychology at JMU and better known as “Professor D,” received the ranking of top-rated professor in the nation on the popular website RateMyProfessors.com. “Teaching is the best part of my job and definitely the highlight of my day,” she says. DuVall also directs JMU’s innovative Psychology Peer Advising Practicum program, which gives students a paraprofessional experience while instilling leadership and teamwork skills. In turn, PPA participants help their fellow classmates get the best educational experience possible.
