B.F.A. Student Spotlight: Hannah Patteson
School of Art Design and Art History
Hannah Patteson is a sculptor from Fairfax, VA. The amount of materials she will use in works knows no bounds, but will sometimes include steel, wood, yarn, fabric, and found objects. She likes to utilize sports skills that she has accrued throughout childhood (specifically in gymnastics, acrobats, unicycling, and skating) to interact with and abstract the standardization of body movement, and to give it a new role in intimate and queer relationships.
Her joint exhibition with Matt Perkins titled Transmogrify will be on display at ArtWorks Gallery from March 14-April 6.
