WELCOME to the JMU Summer Band Camps! 

We are pleased to announce our 2013 camp will be held TUESDAY, July 9 – SATURDAY, July 13.

Our camp features 5 sections to choose from: Concert Band, Marching Band, Drum Major, Yamaha "Sounds of Summer" Drum Line Camp, and the Color Guard/Weapon Camp.  The JMU experience is unique because it offers five camps at the same time, with participants choosing ONE of the above in which to participate. 

While at JMU, each participant will have an opportunity to:

• Work with nationally-recognized clinicians, JMU School of Music faculty, and the JMU Marching Royal Dukes band staff
• Take advantage of some of the great JMU campus features: The Forbes Center for the Performing Arts (opened 2010), Music Building, Bridgeforth Stadium complex (expanded 2011) and Athletic facilities, state-of-the art residence halls (w/air conditioning) and dining facilities, the JMU Recreation Center, Student Union, and the JMU Bookstore.
• Receive training in teaching and leadership that all participants can take back to their schools and contribute to their band programs
• Enjoy evening recreation and activities
