About EYH

Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is a one-day math and science conference for girls in grades 6-10. The girls participate in exciting, hands-on workshops organized by JMU faculty, attend science presentations and demonstrations, and interact with JMU students who are studying math and science. The goals of the conference are to stimulate the participants' interest in math and science through these hands-on activities, to provide them with female scientist role models, and to foster awareness of opportunities in math and science-related careers.

Parents and teachers are invited to attend EYH with their students.  We plan to offer adult workshops again this year.  Parents and teachers are also welcome to accompany their students to all of their activities.

All participants will receive breakfast and lunch.  There is no registration fee, but all students and accompanying adults and teachers must pre-register.  We thank our generous sponsors for enabling us to offer EYH to participants free of charge again this year.

The 2015 conference is now full, and registration is closed!

You can add your name to our waiting list for EYH 2015 by completing this form.  We may be able to accept a few students from the waiting list, but there are no guarantees.

To receive announcements about the conference, join our email list or like the EYH page on Facebook.
